Office Space Available in PSEB's STP in Rawalpindi and Lahore

Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) is facilitating the IT industry by establishing new Software Technology Parks (STPs) with internet and backup power facilities and affordable rentals. PSEB is presently managing thirteen (13) Software Technology Parks in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad/ Rawalpindi where more than 850,000 Sq.ft of IT-enabled office space has been provisioned for 90 IT firms engaged in consulting, software development, BPO and other IT businesses.

Pakistan Software Export Board has established another Software Technology Park in Meridian Software Technology Park, Near Rehmanabad metro bus stop, Murree Road, Rawalpindi. This building offers approximately 44,720 Sq.ft of office space for immediate occupancy by IT companies. After many rounds of negotiations with the owner, PSEB has brought down rental rate to Rs. 70 per sqft for IT companies.

Find new customers at CeBIT Australia 2017

Dear PSEB Member,

CeBIT Australia is scheduled to be held in Sydney, Australia between; May 23-25, 2017. TDAP is planning to have a major presence of Pakistani companies and in this regard is soliciting applications http://pseb.org.pk/images/Exhibition_Form_2013.pdf. TDAP’s advertisement soliciting the interest of Pakistani entities is available at http://pseb.org.pk/images/CEBIT-Australia-2017.pdf. The cost for exhibit space in Pakistan Pavilion is Rs. 220,000 and must be submitted to TDAP along with the application.

CeBIT is Australia’s largest and longest running business technology event in Asia Pacific focusing on business solutions solved through IT. The three-day event would feature 350+ exhibitors; 8 conferences with 170+ speakers; international keynotes, 6 strategic panels, and social events among others. A part of the exhibition would be dedicated to startups so that they can showcase their latest exciting products and services. Delegates at the CeBIT Startup Conference will be presented with a dynamic line-up of speakers including successful start-ups who have transitioned into multi-million dollar companies, as well as investors, VCs and angels plus government agencies dedicated to helping start-ups succeed. PwC estimates that the Australian start-up sector could deliver $109 billion to the economy and create over half a million jobs.

Australian IT spending was nearly A$80 billion in 2016. Information Technology services represent one of the largest revenue segments in Australia at A$29 billion. Spending on devices (mobile phones, PCs, tablets and printers) is estimated at A$10.5 billion. It is pertinent to note that Software is the fastest growing segment, which increased 9.6 percent to A$10.3 billion in 2016.

Participation in CeBIT Australia would therefore be beneficial to IT companies intending to develop business contacts in Australia.

Find New Customers at CeBIT Hannover 2017

Dear PSEB Member,

In-line with the mandate to grow IT exports of Pakistan, Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) hereby solicits applications from PSEB member companies to exhibit at CEBIT Hannover, scheduled to be held in Hannover, Germany from 20 – 24 March, 2017.

CeBIT is considered to be the largest ICT exhibitions in the world. World’s top companies, key decision-makers, professional attended and prospective buyers attend CeBIT on regular basis. The event is also host to high-caliber guest speakers, leading journalists and bloggers thereby ensuring maximum media coverage. As per the organizers “No other ICT event offers better prospects for networking at an international level, initiating new business deals and generating so many new leads in a short space of time”.

PSEB will be setting up a Pakistan IT Pavilion at CeBIT 2017, Hannover, Germany. To motivate PSEB member companies to exhibit at the IT exhibition, PSEB would offer substantial subsidy on fully built exhibit space in a customized Pakistan Pavilion to selected IT companies.

Interested companies are requested to submit duly filled in and stamped Application Form and TORs available here along with requisite documents to undersigned by 16th January, 2017.

  • Demand draft of PKR 260,000/- in favor of Pakistan Software Export Board. The deposit is refundable in case an IT company is not short-listed. The deposit would be non-refundable in case of no-show after selection.
  • If a participating company submits event and leads report within one week of the end date of the event, then PSEB will refund Rs. 10,000 to that company.

Trilateral Trade and Investment Conference “Pakistan as a Digital Powerhouse”

Dear PSEB Member,

Applications are solicited from PSEB member companies interested in participating in the Trilateral Trade & Investment Conference scheduled to be held in London on 8th March, 2017.

According to the organizers, which include two members of the European Parliament, the proposed summit would bring together key stakeholders to discuss the development of a strategic action plan towards the socio-economic transformation of Pakistan’s digital sector in the global economy with particular focus on collaborative opportunities with United Kingdom and Czech Republic. Participating in the trade summit could potentially provide significant networking opportunities for Pakistani IT companies interesting in working with UK and Czech based entities. Minister of IT, Mrs. Anusha Rahman, is the keynote speaker for the conference. It is pertinent to note that the conference would have entrepreneurs and investors from London Tech City as well.

To encourage IT companies to attend the Conference, PSEB would reimburse 50% of the cost of one economy return air fare after the event, following the submission of tour and leads report to PSEB.

DICE 2016 Mega Innovation & Entrepreneurship Event

Dear PSEB Member,

NUST School of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering (SMME), in collaboration with DICE Foundation, USA is organizing the “10th Anniversary of all Pakistan DICE 2016 Mega Innovation & Entrepreneurship Event” on December 21-22, 2016 at NUST central campus in Islamabad.

As per information submitted by the organizers “DICE Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Michigan, USA, and aims to fuel socio-economic development in Pakistan by promoting Innovation in key technology domains. The Foundation was constituted by Pakistani expat community based in US in a bid to inculcate a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation in their homeland. The event entails display of research innovations, products and technologies by renowned academic institutes, Industry players and technology vendors. Many new innovative ideas and projects have been presented in this mega event in the past and numerous new collaborations between participating teams have emerged as a result of their active participation”.
